The New Hampshire Business Finance Authority Honors Five NH Lenders

October 25, 2022 – Concord NH – The New Hampshire Business Finance Authority is proud to announce the honorees of this year’s Granite State Awards. For the second year in a row the BFA honored five New Hampshire lenders for their exceptional work helping Granite State companies access the funds they need to grow their businesses.

“These lenders have gone above and beyond in their efforts leveraging BFA programs, making loans happen to help New Hampshire businesses succeed,” stated James Key-Wallace, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority. “The Granite State Awards are an important recognition of the critical work done by lenders across the state. The health of our communities depend on the health of our economy, and these lenders have worked diligently with local businesses to create hundreds of jobs for New Hampshire families.”

The celebratory event took place at the Bank of NH Stage in Concord. The award recipients were Earle Rosse of Service Credit Union, for the Bond Deal of the Year with the new cargo facility at Manchester Airport that will result in over 200 new jobs.

Dick Jennings of Mascoma Bank received the Community Impact Award for his work with Stevens Mill, creating 140+ housing units and 32,000 square feet of commercial space, continuing the rebirth of Franklin.

Bill Kidder of Ledyard Bank received the award for Loan Participation of the Year for FitKids Childcare & River Valley Club in Lebanon which will add 60 new, much-needed childcare spots in the Upper Valley along with 70 new jobs.

Rich Burgess of Meredith Village Savings Bank was named CAP Lender of the Year. CAP stands for Capital Access Program and is designed to help small businesses access loans up to $500,000. Burgess helped fourteen businesses access CAP loans for $1,085,000, supporting fifty-two jobs across the state.

Danielle Augustine of BankProv was honored for the Loan Guarantee of the Year with Exeter Rent-All. Exeter Rent-All is family-owned outdoor events company that supports over 100 jobs in the seacoast area.
